FAQ

What is the difference between a logo and a brand identity?

A logo is one visual element of your brand. A brand identity is the larger system surrounding it including your colors, typography, imagery, graphic style and guidelines for keeping everything consistent. A logo gives you a recognizable mark; a brand identity gives you a cohesive presence.

How do I know which service or package I need?

You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Tell me about your business, what you are trying to accomplish and what currently isn’t working. I can help identify the right scope based on your goals, timeline and budget.

What information do you need before starting a project?

I’ll ask about your business, audience, goals, competitors, visual preferences, deliverables, timeline and budget. Depending on the project, I may also need final copy, photography, dimensions, printer specifications or access to existing brand files.

What does the design process look like?

Most projects begin with a discovery conversation and creative direction. From there, I develop the initial concept, gather your feedback, refine the selected direction and prepare the final files. You’ll know what stage we’re in and what I need from you throughout the process.

How long does a design project take?

Timing depends on the size and scope of the project, the number of deliverables and how quickly feedback and content are provided. A smaller design project may take a couple of weeks, while a complete brand identity or larger campaign may require several months. Your estimated timeline will be outlined before work begins.

How much does professional design / branding services cost?

Pricing is based on the scope, complexity and intended use of the work. After learning more about your project, I’ll provide a custom estimate outlining the deliverables and cost. A deposit is typically required to reserve your project and begin work.

What files will I receive?

Final files vary by project, but logo packages typically include formats for both print and digital use, such as PNG, JPG, PDF and vector files. I’ll also explain which files to use in different situations so you aren’t left guessing. Part of the strategy in what I offer is a roadmap so if you choose not to go with having me manage your branding presence, you have a map for how to implement it. That document will be the most important file you receive from me. Good branding is only as good as its ability to be used and put into action.

Can you work with my existing logo or brand?

Yes. I can create new materials using your current brand, refine an existing visual identity or develop a more comprehensive refresh. If your original files are limited or outdated, I can recommend the best way to move forward.

Do you offer social media management?

Studio 303 can provide social media strategy, branded graphics, content planning and post creation. Full-service management—such as daily engagement, message monitoring and publishing depends on availability and the needs of the account. We’ll define exactly what is included before beginning.

Do you offer ongoing design support?

Yes. Ongoing support may be available through a monthly retainer or recurring project arrangement. This is ideal for businesses that regularly need social graphics, advertisements, event materials, presentations or other branded content.

Do you work with clients outside Pensacola?

Yes. Studio 303 can work with clients remotely through email, phone and virtual meetings. Local Pensacola and Gulf Coast clients may also have the option of meeting in person when appropriate.
